Rīgas Stradiņa universitātes (RSU) darbiniekiem ir pieejams lokālais datortīkls (LAN). Lokālais datortīkls ir datoru tīkls, kas izvietots nelielā teritorijā un sastāv no sakaru līnijām, kas savieno personālos datorus un citas elektroniskās koplietošanas iekārtas, piemēram, printerus un datu glabāšanas ierīces. Tas pieejams visās RSU ēkās un nodrošina nepieciešamo tīkla resursu pieejamību. Datortīklu pārvalda RSU IT departaments, nodrošinot datoru, drukas iekārtu, IP telefonu un citu iekārtu pārvaldību. Lokālam tīklam var pieslēgt tikai RSU pārvaldītu tehniku (personīgos datorus tikai eduroam WiFi).

Pašrocīgi pieslēgt vai pārslēgt iekārtas tīklam ir aizliegts (iekārtu automātiska bloķēšana) - to veic IT departaments. Iekārtas tīklam pārslēgt ir atļauts tikai Dārza ielas studentu viesnīcas iedzīvotājiem.
It is prohibited to connect or switch devices manually to a network. Only residents of the Student Hotel on Darza Street are allowed to switch the devices to the network.
